3M is seeking an Advanced Media Technician for the Media Solutions Department located in Maplewood, MN. Be part of what's next!
Job Summary:
Provide advanced technical expertise to support and maintain current technologies and services our venues provide. Technologies include high definition video production, complex meeting room A/V systems, video & audio conferencing, video streaming, head-end routing, digital recording systems and equipment. Must know project management and facilitate meetings and teams. Continually improve, develop and implement processes and procedures for operation of facilities. Flexible work schedules are common due to global support and changing demands.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work directly with executives and clients to ensure flawless media selection and delivery for internal and external meetings. Must have broad media technology know-how, ability to work under high pressure and respond to on the spot demands. Practice strong customer service. Use discretion due to the sensitive nature of the content.
- Provide advanced technical support on more complex events and critical corporate and executive meetings.
- Project management of A/V installations.
- Setup and configure A/V and production systems.
- Video streaming technical support.
- Identify new media technologies and work with key stakeholders to keep current.
- Willingness to be on-call.
The job also requires performing other duties as assigned. Percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary based on demand.
Qualifications
Basic Qualification:
- Minimum of a two year-technical degree is require
- Minimum three years media experience is required
- Minimum one year experience in A/V technologies, software, and/or systems is required
- Minimum one year experience in setup, trouble shooting and installation of A/V systems and equipment is required
- Minimum one year experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts in Engineering degree is preferred
- 5-7 years media experience is preferred
- Project Management experience is preferred
