Description
3M is currently seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician located in Maplewood, MN.
The person hired for the position of Aircraft Maintenance Technician will primarily be responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with (IAW) applicable FAA regulations 91, 43 and 145 as applicable as described in the 3M Aviation Operations Manual.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and preserve aircraft records both digital and hard copy in accordance with (IAW) federal and corporate guidelines
- Ensure by inspection and audit that maintenance being performed on company aircraft or components conforms manufactures specifications
- Maintain current calibration of test equipment
- Ensure maintenance reference data is current and applicable to the task being performed
- Confirm by inspection, the airworthiness of incoming parts, equipment and consumables
- Control un-airworthy parts
- Approve aircraft and components for return to service IAW established company guidelines as described in the 3M Aviation Operations Manual
- Ensure accurate aircraft times and cycles are entered in the maintenance records
- Follow the safety procedures listed within the 3M Aviation Operations Manual and established 3M company guidelines.
- Participate in department Safety Management System described in the 3M Aviation Operations Manual
- Line Service Technician duties
Qualifications
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- Current FAA Airframe Certification
- Current FAA Power Plant Certificate
- 5+ years of Corporate Aircraft and/or heavy jet maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two year Technical Diploma, Associates or Higher in aviation maintenance management or a related discipline
- FCC General Radio Telephone license
- Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification
- FAA Inspection Authorization
- 5+ years of Gulfstream G5 and/or Gulfstream 550 maintenance experience
- Work rotating shifts
