3M is seeking an Account Representative for the Commercial Graphics Division located in the greater Washington D.C. area. Be part of what’s next!
Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Account Representative will primarily be responsible for sales of all Commercial Graphics products and services in a geographic territory covering the Mid-Atlantic area described below; calling on graphics manufacturers, OEM,s and end users; demonstrating 3M products with a “hands-on” approach; and attaining or exceeding sales forecasts.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Attaining sales forecast of Commercial Graphics products and services within the assigned territory, comprised of the following customer segments.
- Primary account responsibility of Commercial Graphics Distribution Headquarters and Branches, direct buying Graphics Manufacturers, End Users, and OEM’s within the territory.
- Managing travel budgets (up to 40% travel)
- Reporting territory activities and use of business software application such as Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Notes, etc.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience with Digital Printing, Large Format Graphics, Screen-printing and Sign Fabrication are preferred
- Outside sales experience demonstrating products within an assigned territory
- Ability to get ‘hands-on’ during demonstration of products
- Proven high performance sales ability with a history of achieving and/or exceeding annual sales forecasts
- Ability to listen to the customer; develop creative solutions; and build strong relationships
- Experience selling through Distribution channels
- Experience in using advanced territory management skills, including analytics, strategic planning, prioritization and tactical execution
- Excellent time and resource management skills
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and interpret technical information
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak and teach in front of large groups

Sales Territory: The District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware
Travel: May include up to 40% domestic travel
