The Electro Mechanic in Irvine, CA will be responsible to safely install, maintain, repair, move, replace, modify, upgrade, troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on industrial and commercial equipment and devices used in production, laboratory, office and utility areas. Provide support as needed to Production, Division Engineering, PI & C Engineering for installation and optimization of new equipment and controls.
The Electro Mechanic will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
- Troubleshoot/repair mechanical equipment and components
- Troubleshoot/repair pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

Perform basic machining

Troubleshoot/repair web handling systems

Maintain pumps
-
Perform pipefitting tasks
-
Perform millwright tasks
-
Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair electrical and electronic equipment and components

Program/troubleshoot using programming devices
-
Perform welding and fabrication tasks
-
Perform preventive maintenance
-
Perform miscellaneous tasks when assigned
-
Install/upgrade equipment
-
Calibrate equipment
-
Demonstrate safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self or others
This position will require:
- Working a fixed 3rd shift
This position may require:
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
- Working holidays as needed
Qualifications
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience OR a two year technical degree in a maintenance field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Analog and digital AC/DC drive systems, Pneumatic / hydraulic systems, Calibrations / metrology, and/or National Electric Code.

Experience reading and interpreting measurement instruments and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
- Experience with pipefitting

Solid mechanical aptitude with basic machining experience

Experience working with pumps and pump seals

Experience working with millwright and machining

Basic understanding of machining processes (welding, grinding, milling, CNC, etc.)

Computer/keyboarding skills

Able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions

Self-motivated, team oriented, and excellent interpersonal skills
