3M’s Consumer Business Group is seeking a Consumer Insights Manager for their Stationery and Office Supplies Division (SOSD)

The SOSD Division Consumer Insights Manager position, located in 3M Center, St. Paul, MN, will be responsible for planning and managing research activities and delivering insights-based direction to the business for strategic planning across all current and future product platforms.

The Consumer Insights Manager is also expected to collaborate with other members of the Consumer Insights team as well as other division partners in key functions such as Marketing, Marketing Communication, Sales, Digital and Product Development.

Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Strong knowledge of consumer insights using a broad array of current and new methodologies - quantitative and qualitative
- Gather and synthesize data, and draw insights from primary and secondary sources
- Demonstrated ability to translate information and data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Act as the "voice of the consumer" within the organization on assigned brands
- Global research experience a bonus
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on assessing business issues to develop, manage/execute learning plans for the assigned core brands
- Consult, advice and influence local and global brand teams on insights methodologies, usage and interpretation
- Strong strategic thinking skills, including capabilities to assess current situation, draw conclusions and envision future business opportunities
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written/visual) to create and deliver compelling presentations of insights to senior management and at key retailers
- Excellent project management skills: Able to prioritize multiple projects with little assistance and execute programs and projects from start to completion.
- A team player with strong interpersonal and team building skills
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum five (5) years of consumer insight and/or market research experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum three (3) years of experience conducting research in conjunction with new product marketing launches
- Consumer insight experience in a Consumer Package Goods company preferred

Note
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B Status)
