Description
We are currently seeking an eCommerce Specialist for our eHub organization within 3M's Consumer Business Group. The successful candidate will leverage an operational eCommerce, sales and/or customer-facing background with retail partners to enhance our eCommerce partnerships with CBG accounts.
In this role, the candidate will execute eCommerce plans for our Key Multi-Channel retailers which includes product presence (new item setup, item maintenance, rich content/video uploads, content hygiene), demand generation (merchandising, email, search) programs and analytics (page views, conversion rate, sales trends). The candidate will have input into eCommerce plans by delivering metrics and recommendations that help define the go-forward strategy.
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Daily Execution
· Improve product presence on eCommerce websites by working closely with the eHub eCommerce leadership and Key Account Sales Teams. This includes personally executing and/or instructing account resources on steps required to execute new item set up, product page improvements and other requisite best practices to reach eCommerce site entitlement.
· Prioritize, identify and coordinate rich product and promotional assets to publish on retail sites. Identify new content sources by working with business stakeholders and the eHub Digital Asset Management team. Refine existing processes to streamline and optimize data management practices with eCommerce programs and websites.
· Work closely with eHub eCommerce and Key Account leadership to identify and execute demand generation programs on time, on budget and to expectations. Understand account system capabilities and limitations; propose changes or modifications to leadership to best achieve outcomes.
· Maintain eCommerce product catalog by launching new items, notifying account of sku changes (ie new packaging, case pack size etc) and obsolete product listings.
· Analyze eCommerce trends & promotional effectiveness through analysis of account data. Monitoring competitor product and competitor promotions on .com sites
Advocacy
As the key day-to-day contact with 3M business unit teams, the candidate’s development, understanding and advocacy of best practices in eCommerce will shape the success of business unit teams as they interface with eCommerce websites. Accordingly, a key focus for the candidate will be to:
· Monitor and report on eCommerce progress to eHub management and business unit management.
· Engage and educate teams in best practices in eCommerce, sourced from:
o Recommendations from retailers.
o Industry research
o Internal and competitive analysis
· Drive understanding of e-Commerce impact amongst CBG marketers, sales managers and management through best practice sharing, reports/dashboards and presentations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum of a bachelors degree from an accredited University
· Minimum of three combines years of sales and/or customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
· eCommerce account management, sales planning, business development experience desired
· Preferred one year minimum of eCommerce or eMechardising experience
· Experience with market trends, including gap analysis, opportunity benchmarking and/or space to performance projects
· Experience with eCommerce analystics
· Experience do you have developing sales and/or marketing reports utilizing advanced data analysis
· Experience analyzing and applying data to make decisions.
o Record of making decisions and implementing change
o Ability to translate analyses into dashboards, graphics and summaries so the management team is familiar with results.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Passion for engaging in improving own knowledge and skills.
o Review articles, blogs, web discussion forums, press releases, etc. and be able to extract and communicate the key points.
· Ability to drive strategy and change while implementing, analyzing and reporting on numerous concurrent eCommerce projects.
