Job Summary:
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading website design and construction projects, digital asset management, metrics reporting and analytics, and miscellaneous UX projects within the Web Presence Team of the Safety & Graphics Business Group (SGBG) eHub. The team’s goal is to lead our divisions and subsidiaries to develop and maintain a world class 3M.com web presence in all countries and markets we do business in globally.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with our divisional contacts and corporate resources to define and execute website improvement and maintenance plans for public US SGBG 3M.com websites. Coordinate all ongoing website site development via the IT Web Construction Team.
- Own primary divisional responsibilities and project management for digital marketing activities supporting multiple SGBG divisions.
- Provide team leadership and guidance to other digital marketing analysts within the SGBG eHub.
- Design, improve, and execute core eHub processes supporting:
- Mobile & desktop web site design and build
- Content procurement and management
- Online product catalog deployment
- Video and Digital Asset Management
- SEO / SEM
- Metrics capture and reporting
- Where to buy (WTB)
- Other features and functionality (click to chat, ratings and reviews, etc).
- Provide emergency support services outside of working hours for high priority content updates (low frequency of occurrence).
- Collect information and identify customer and business trends and needs.
- Identify market segments and target customers based on data.
- Create solutions for challenging business problems leveraging our digital marketing capabilities and tools.
- Measure and optimize digital marketing activities using user satisfaction polling, web metrics, A/B testing, and other tools/data sets.
- Coordinate and drive global website replications and localizations for our primary business and market sites.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum of five (5) years combined experience in digital and/or interactive marketing
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a Business to Business (B2B) marketing role within a Fortune 100 company
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant work experience managing web development projects.
- In-depth knowledge of 3M’s web platform and systems, including EWCD, Content Server, Celum, & GPIM.
- Knowledge of Safety & Graphics Business Group products, divisions, and customer segments.
- Expert level project management skills.
- Proven track record of delivering results.
- Passion for learning and the desire to push 3M’s capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to be on a high performing team.
Location: Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include limited (up to 5%) domestic and international travel
