3M is seeking a Maintenance Utilities/HVAC Technician for the Electronics & Energy Business Group located in Menomonie, WI. Ready to be part of what's next?
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine Plant Engineering work as assigned in utility and process maintenance. Diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, service, and repair of utility / facility and process related equipment.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Perform preventive and repair-type maintenance on facilities and support equipment including but not limited to, high and low pressure steam and hot water boilers, deareators, pressure controls, pumps, steam traps, heat exchangers, refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, centrifugal and reciprocation water chillers, cooling towers, water treatments, air handling units humidifiers, heating and cooling coils
2. Working knowledge of pneumatic, electric and direct digital (DDC) controls associated with HVAC equipment
3. Ability to handle a variety of refrigerants and obtain the necessary state and federal certifications to handle CFC refrigerants
This position will require:
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
- Working holidays as needed
- Short notice call in
- Working rotating shifts
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Possess an Associates degree in a technical discipline OR a minimum of five years experience in an industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of window-based computer systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels of the organization
- Self directed individual who can work alone
- A minimum of three (3) years work experience as a HVACR/Facilities equipment technician
Location: Menomonie, WI
Relocation: Not authorized
