Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an eCommerce Specialist for our eHub Organization within 3M's Consumer Business Group. The successful candidate will leverage their background in marketing, sales and eCommerce to enhance our eCommerce partnerships with Office Channel customers and accounts. In this role, the candidate will work with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies and ensure the on-time, on-plan, in-budget execution of foundational and incremental digital tactics.
This resource will drive 3M sales on key account websites by focusing on product presence, demand generation and analytics.
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Help develop “e” strategy and execute eCommerce campaigns with Office Channel accounts, primarily in the Independent Channel
- Interact directly with the customer, including customer trips to develop/strengthen 3M’s relationship and eCommerce engagement with existing and emerging accounts
- Navigate complex Independent Channel marketplace and develop point-of-view for how 3M can optimize this business model, including adapting strategies for optimizing business with wholesalers across various dotcom platforms
- Serve as primary eCommerce contact for various accounts, in partnership with sales team and channel team, and maintain responsibility as eCommerce lead for those partners. Resolve issues and handle a variety of complex issues in changing field
- Develop understanding of key account web capabilities, monitor the evolution of web abilities, and share account and industry trends across teams
- Partner with internal and external resources to help create engaging content and web assets to support seasonal promotional campaigns
- Assist with new item setups to onboard skus across account sites
- Work closely with the eHub Digital Asset Management team to identify best practices and processes for content hygiene and syndication, including best-available product content from 3M systems and rich content/video content
- Improve 3M product presence on eCommerce websites and optimize on-site merchandising in collaboration with external and internal partners, including the channel team. Oversee and execute regular data scrubs for key accounts to improve product presence.
- Collaborate with 3M key account marketers to measure the effectiveness of eCommerce programs executed and develop insights to optimize current and future campaigns
- Participate in bi-weekly meetings with sales and marketing teams, and work closely with key account marketers
- Collaborate with accounts and internal functional teams on co-branded email campaigns and social media promotions
- Monitor competitor product promotions on websites, including competitive product presence and competitive demand generation activity
- Analyze and understand Office Channel market trends from a digital perspective
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or higher from an accredited instituation
- Minimum five (5) years marketing, sales, and/or eCommerce experience
- Digital experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum five years of combined experience in eCommerce and/or eMarketing
- Knowledge and understanding of the Office Channel
- Three to five years experience in sales or direct customer interaction, preferably with dotcom accounts
- Minimum one year web project management experience
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Travel: Up to 10% domestic
