3M is seeking a Process Engineer for the Infection Prevention Division located in Flemington, NJ. Be part of what’s next!
Job Summary:
3M Flemington has seen double digit growth over the past three years and is projecting continued double digit growth. In order to support this continued growth plan, Flemington is undertaking several initiatives such as investing in new equipment and renewing/replacing older equipment, driving product/process understanding/optimization and driving Lean changes throughout the plant.
In support of these initiatives the person hired for the position of Process Engineer will develop Process and Product Understanding (PPU) for assigned chemical indicator product line and lead/support Lean/Six Sigma programs in the plant.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Developing and leading programs to improve product and process/quality understanding
- Providing daily support to production personnel
- Leading Lean/Six Sigma (LSS) projects
- Involvement with determining and implementing capital projects
- Providing manufacturing support to new product introductions
- Working with support groups in the plant as well as marketing, lab, and manufacturing technology
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
- Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience (an internship or Co-op experience is considered qualifying)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited University
- Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience
- Experience in regulated industry
- Knowledge and experience with ink making/printing, coating and converting technologies
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven project leadership experience
Location: Flemington, NJ
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation: Is authorized
