3M is seeking a Electrician/Instrumentation Tech for the Industrial BusinessGroup located in Newark, DE. Ready to be part of what's next?
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform troubleshooting, calibration, repair/replacement and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Perform a wide variety of complex electrical and mechanical work related to the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, operation, inspection, and testing of a variety of equipment including, but not limited to: electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, computer, micro processor and variable frequency drive, electro-mechanical, digital, telemetry, operator interface terminals, and analog components and perform other duties as assigned
- Perform advanced electrical functions, including instrumentation, PLC ladder logic programming, PLC communication protocols & AC/DC drive programming
- Work from electrical prints, diagrams, work orders, electrical code books, drawings, sketches, schematics, written and verbal instructions
- Perform calibration and monitoring device measurements and corrective actions
- Completed all assigned corrective, preventative and predictive work orders detailing actions taken and materials used
- Direct, monitor and inspect work of outside contractors and part suppliers ensuring compliance to specification of work
This position will require:
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
- Short notice call in
- Working a fixed 3rd shift
This position may require:
- Holidays as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrician/Instrumentation Technician
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or higher in an electronics or instrumentation discipline
- Experience in PID control loops
- Experience with Analog and digital AC/DC drive systems
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing PLC’s
- Experience working with pumps
- Technical experience working with electrical systems
- Intermediate computer knowledge
- Must be highly motivated and a team player with a positive attitude
