3M is seeking a Social Media Coordinator Intern for the e-Transformation Division located at our Global Headquarters in Maplewood, MN.
Job Summary:
An intern (typical 10-12 week, full-time schedule assignment) position is a temporary assignment with 3M's Corporate Student Programs. Corporate Student Programs is designed to provide 3M with the opportunity to identify qualified candidates for regular employment, and to provide students with the opportunity to integrate their academic knowledge with work experience. As a Student Programs participant located in Saint Paul, Minnesota you will develop skills, and gain work experience in your field of study.
As a member of eTransformation this position coordinates deployment of 3M Global Customer On-Line Engagement tools and processes including but not limited to: Primary focus on social listening and engagement tools, and social media content tactics and practices. Secondary focus will include knowledge management, click to chat, ratings and reviews, inbound/outbound E-mail, and lead to revenue management.
This position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible to assist program leaders with guiding and facilitating 3M eBusiness teams through implementation of customer engagement tools as they align to business process. Train the trainer functionality.
- Learns and supplies technical capability support for social tools ensuring coordination and standardization for 3M globally.
- Ongoing contribution to capability requirements and enhancements as identified.
- Social content planning and creation for Global eTransformation, and input for various staff and/or business groups.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with social and online engagement platforms and processes
- Strong customer service and/or interaction background
- 1+ yrs experience software administration activities
- 1+ combined years of customer facing experience that may include customer service, customer contact center, and/or inside sales
- Results oriented with strong process and execution skills
- Effective facilitation, communication and teaching skills
- Prior internship/co-op experience with 3M or another manufacturing company.
