3M is seeking a Sales Development Manager for the Commercial Graphics Division with National coverage. Ready to be part of what's next?
Territory – National role
Candidate location – Field based with candidates preferred location South East / South Central (commutable to Central London)
Remuneration
Salary - £competitive depending on the level of experience
Bonus - 20% performance related bonus available

Overall Mission
To grow sales of 3M commercial graphics products into the large format graphics and sign-making market. Specifying and selling in a range of vinyl films, inks and other associated large format graphics materials to:
1. Fleet Market - including fleet owners, design agencies, brands and associated converting channels.
2. Brand Owners - End users including corporate brands and agencies
Job Responsibilities
- Develop & grow 3M sales with both existing and new accounts, actively targeting competitive accounts to pro-actively grow market share across defined territory.
- Work with key end user brands such as BT, Sky, Royal Mail, Autoglass, HSBC, RAC, Coca Cola and Tesco to develop and implement 3M specifications for brand activation and corporate livery programmes.
- Where appropriate work with key influencers including design & branding agencies to specify 3M commercial graphics products.
- Achieve/exceed target sales growth of commercial graphics products (primarily vinyl films, inks, over-laminates and varnishes).
- Work with key end user brands to develop and implement 3M specifications for brand activation and corporate livery programmes. End user brand as defined by brand owner contact strategy.
- Manage the relationship with key partner reps to develop end user specs by working closely with these graphic converters/printers including joint calls and joint working where appropriate
- Develop & grow 3M sales with both existing and new accounts, actively targeting competitive accounts to pro-actively grow market share across defined territory.
- Develop new business to exceed sales target.
- Manage, develop and progress open opportunity pipeline with a targeted annual value, logged and regularly updated through Siebel (CRM System)
- Develop and implement effective sales plans to grow sales and maximise face to face selling time.
- Actively develop relationships with key accounts and key stakeholders
- Lead, train and develop partner sales reps on 3M products.
- Attend and develop programs for growing sales.
- End user lead management and sales callers (with partners where appropriate)
Skills, Experience and Capabilities
Selling skills - A proven track history of outstanding performance developing new business and growing sales is essential.
Account management skills are desirable with a heavy focus on Brand, Agencies, Designers, Fleet Managers and end users.
Extensive experience in a B2B sales role, preferably (but not essentially) in related industry sector e.g. sign-making, graphics, digital printing, media or similar
- Energy, hunger, drive & commitment to achieving outstanding sales results
- Creative flare with a long term vision
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Goal oriented & self motivated
- Analytical, innovative, organised and flexible
- Computer literate
Qualifications
- Business Degree is desirable or relevant business experience.
