3M is seeking an Orthodontic Business Analyst for the Orthodontic Products Division located in Maplewood, MN. Be part of what’s next!
Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Orthodontic Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding orthodontic workflows, customer needs and technology capabilities to define requirements for 3M’s orthodontic solutions. 3M Unitek supplies orthodontic solutions globally that are increasingly driven through digitally enabled patient-specific workflows. 3M is looking to understand and improve the value it provides customers by:
1. Analyzing existing orthodontic workflows, digital tools and assessment of potential new technology solutions to deliver its custom solutions
2. Developing requirements for new technologies
3. Integrating knowledge of systems with knowledge of the practice of orthodontics.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Leads analysis of existing orthodontic workflows and software tools to assess the potential of new technology solutions
- Works with customers to understand orthodontic workflows
- Integrates knowledge of systems with knowledge of orthodontics
- Works with development teams to determine specifications for new solutions
- Integrate input from technologists, orthodontist practitioners, academics, and consultants to develop plans and drive execution
- Manages aspects of development projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum of seven (7) years of business and/or systems analyst experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline from an accredited University
- Experience in medical device development, orthodontics and/or related field
- Demonstrated ability to bridge the digital world and the physical world to create value for customers
- Demonstrated success in business and/or systems analysis
- Demonstrated ability to develop a technology roadmap in concert with a business plan
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Creative problem solving – ability to work with diverse team members to address and resolve key issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to navigate ambiguity with the ability to influence at all levels
- Requirements management software experience a plus
Location: Position is based in Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 20% domestic
