Job Summary:
The Global Product Marketing Manager provides marketing leadership for priority New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and existing products within the digital orthodontics portfolio. This position reports to the Global Brand Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manages the development of assigned digitally related New Product projects initiated by the global business team
- Overall responsibility for executing marketing requirements of the NPI process
- Responsible of new product from concept evaluation to launch
- Leads the generation of global consumer insight. Directs market testing to refine product and economics assumptions in relevance to target consumers
- Leads the development of a global marketing plan to support the new product launch
- Coordinates launch preparation with countries
- Manages global product marketing for digital orthodontics portfolio throughout product lifecycle
Market Intelligence/Customer Insight
- Develops and executes market research plan
- Defines research objectives and methodologies
- Defines market segmentation and customer target groups
- Validates customer requirements list, value proposition and wish list of claims
- Partners with R&D and Technical Service to conduct customer acceptance evaluations
Pricing
- Completes product pricing strategy and work package for assigned NPI projects
- Uses pricing analysis tools such as value chain map, price value map, price elasticity and conjoint analysis to develop global pricing guidelines
- Financial Management/Demand Planning
- Works with regions to define a five year financial forecast and to develop new product SKU and demand requisition
Branding
- Understands brand architecture and develops brand /naming recommendations
- Works with Global Brand Manager to develop product name and brand strategy for assigned projects
- Determines product positioning and value proposition based on targeted segmentation.
Launch Plan Development
- Defines country launch list, launch dates and priorities according to registration timing of selected countries
- Provides global sales estimates and launch dates into NPP
- Creates Global Launch plan that includes marketing communication and scientific marketing strategy
- Directs creation of collateral, sales support and training strategy for regions to launch
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
- Minimum 3 years of combined experience in marketing, market development and/or business development
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing preferred
- 5 or more years of new product marketing experience
- Demonstrated track record of success and leadership
- Health Care industry experience
- Medical device marketing experience in hardware consumables
- Healthcare experience a plus, especially in medical device/products and /or digital healthcare technology
- Demonstrates experience in broad range of marketing principals and procedures
- Demonstrated ability and skills for business planning
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitative skills. Demonstrates influence management skills and ability to lead global, cross-functional teams
- Superior communication skills and demonstrated experience conducting presentations to all levels, including senior management staff
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative market research
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Strong project management skills and significant experience leading teams in a consulting or transaction environment
- Understanding of International operations and business processes
- International experience a plus
The person hired for the position of Global Product Marketing Manager will be located in Maplewood, MN and will travel up to 10% of the time including some International travel.
