Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Digital Marketer is responsible for the U.S. strategy, planning, execution and measurement of Marketing Automation/Lead to Revenue Management programs. You will be the Marketing Automation (MA) subject matter expert, creating the roadmap for platform and process implementation of MA tools across multiple SGBG divisions, driving adoption and accelerating usage, implementing tactics and analyzing results within the Safety & Graphics Business (SGBG) Digital Marketing Operations Group. The team’s goal is to lead our divisions to develop and maintain a world class Marketing Automation program in all relevant markets we do business in.
We are looking for a talented and experienced digital marketer with strong marketing, analytical, and communication skills to join our team. The long term objective is to grow the Marketing Automation projects within Safety & Graphics so this role will be a program advocate, change agent, and team lead for a growing program. This role is also part campaign manager and part technical excellence.
Campaign Manager & UX Manager
As Marketing Automation Manager you’ll approach marketing and direct sales objectives with creativity, earn trust from internal and external partners, manage multiple projects, and balance competing priorities and business partners. You will work at the strategic level to generate bold and innovative ideas and at the tactical level to develop and design campaigns, execute test plans, and refine targeting and messaging based on performance metrics.
You will be working to integrate automation into our core websites and working closely with the business owners and website team. You will be responsible for customer experience to and from any marketing automation campaign, including lead generation through digital tactics (social, email, display ads), and will be responsible for representing 3M consistently by following brand standards and digital best practices.
You will be responsible for gaining sales support through various sales coverage models for campaigns, coordinating trainings, and advocating for sales during any CRM integrations. You will be developing and improving lead nurturing processes between digital marketing, channel partners, inside and outside sales. You will also work with these partners to create processes to track the lead to sale for reporting and analytics.
Technical Excellence:
As Marketing Automation manager you will be responsible for the technical execution and ongoing maintenance of campaigns, SME for all CRM integrations, and hands on coding and troubleshooting when needed. Project manager of coordinating additional resources if needed as well.
This role will be responsible for the divisional platform roadmap: which includes system integrations and also leading the strategy of investing, activation, and implementation of functionality and capabilities within the system or via plugins to meet business needs.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the marketing automation roadmap for various divisions in Safety & Graphics Business
- Supervisory experience for other Marketing Automation team members, agencies, and partners
- Develop programs for lead nurturing, lead scoring, sales enablement, and lead management
- Implement scalable, repeatable and comparable methods of measurement and performance tracking
- Champion data governance best practices for marketing automation platform and CRM system
- Develop controls on all data inputs and outputs to drive data cleanliness
- Use data and testing to optimize and improve email content and targeting for customer communications
- Serve as the subject matter expert on marketing automation best practices
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum of three (3) years digital marketing experience
- Minimum of three (3) years combined experience of lead generation/lead nurturing experience using email, marketing automation, social media and/or type of digital campaigns
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other relevant master's degree
- Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
- Supervisory experience leading a team
- Ability to present ideas to various levels of an organization to explain and gain support for initiatives
- Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record staying on budget and on schedule
- Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
- Proven experience working with industry tools including email, social, web analytics, and CRM; Salesforce preferred
- Marketing automation experience; Eloqua or Pardot preferred
- Experience in B2B, high-tech products/services preferred
- Customer journey mapping and marketing system utilization experience
- Industry Marketing Automation knowledge and best practices
