Job Summary:

In this position you will be responsible for the specification, design, and integration of process equipment control systems used to manufacture 3M products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for the specification, design, and integration of control systems used to manufacture 3M products. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;
- Control systems architecture scope development and design
- Control systems cost estimating and schedule development
- Hardware purchasing
- Engineering drawing development, including P&ID’s
- PLC/HMI programming in a variety of formats and platforms
- Control systems networking and integration
- Machine commissioning, start up, and check-out

Within this role you will develop an expertise in one or more of the following technologies;
- Motor drive systems
- Motion control
- Digital and analog systems
- Sensing & measurement devices

Basic Qualifications:
- Currently possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher from an accredited university
- Prior experience involving a control systems engineering process or technology

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Prior experience involving web-line and/or converting process
- GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Team player with the ability to contribute in a matrix environment
- Project management experience

Location: Greenville, SC

The person hired for the position of Resident Control Systems Engineer will be located in Greenville, SC, and relocation authorized within Country per 3M relocation policy. The successful candidate should anticipate an average of 10% travel to numerous 3M manufacturing locations located throughout the US.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Is authorized within Country per 3M relocation policy
