3M is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager for the 3M's Personal Safety Division located in London, ON. Ready to be part of what's next?
The successful candidate will focus on development and execution of 3M Personal Safety Division's Integrated Marketing Communications plan. Championing 3M and Personal Safety Division brand values and executing internal and external communications strategies. The Marketing Communications Manager will have responsibility for strategy and execution of the Personal Safety Division Advertising, MarCom, Digital, Social and Tradeshows, working with a cross functional team of portfolio marketers to drive lead generation and integrated campaigns. As a Communications leader they will also provide training, and assistance to co-workers, team members, work groups and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects and contribute to the communications community by leading task forces and helping to develop others. This role requires the proven ability to excel in a varied, deadline driven, and sometimes demanding environment.
Basic Minimum Requirements:
- A University degree is required for this position
- Degree field such as business administration, marketing, marketing communication, journalism, advertising, public relations, or mass communication
- Progress towards a master’s degree in an appropriate discipline, while not a requirement, is desirable
- 5+ years of related job and industry experience
- Strong research, writing, editing and proof-reading skills
- A history of managing multiple communications projects, project budgets and deliverable on plan and budget
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of communications processes and technologies and is able to identify and recommend new technologies/processes
- Ability to work effectively with tight timelines and under pressure to deliver measurable results in demanding environments with diplomacy and adaptability while handling multiple tasks, prioritizing activities, and meeting deadline
- Media training or experience with media relations preferred
Other Qualifications:
- Candidates must have strong self-motivation and time management ability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as there is a significant educational component to the role
- The individual requires a strong customer focus and consultative skills with a proven ability to develop solutions that address customer needs
- A valid driver's license is required. Candidates are required to travel which will involve overnight stays
