Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Digital Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and measurement of Marketing Automation/Lead to Revenue Management programs, 3M.Com and FUZE program, Extranets – bCom, Social Engagement, eLearning, and eMail Marketing programs delivering significant results within the US Safety & Graphics divisions.
The Digital Marketing Operations (DMO) Manager is a results-oriented individual with experience managing and leading digital marketing, and e-operations initiatives. You will be responsible for managing a team of 3Mers, contract workers, outside agencies, and partners that are subject matter experts in each of these digital marketing fields to execute and deliver these initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams by partnering with Marketing, Marketing Communications, Channel, eTransformation, Corporate Marketing and Sales Excellence, and IT.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the execution and deployment of the divisional Digital Marketing plans for Safety & Graphics, by leading high performing teams to execute digital marketing initiatives (3M.Com, Extranets, Social, eLearning, eMail Marketing, Marketing Automation)
- Ensure alignment of these tactics with the marketing plans and increasing effectiveness of all eMarketing efforts (Driving Digital by Default), while focusing on operational excellence and productivity gains
- Lead the digital marketing team in planning and prioritization of digital marketing campaigns, and programs, execution of those programs, and measuring relevant results to A3s for the divisions
- Drive key online projects and programs from concept through launch including working cross organizationally and with various internal functional teams and external vendors. Ensure timelines, budgets, and commitments are met and provide exceptional communication to team members, leaders, and stakeholders throughout the process
- Communicate and evangelize best practices, improvement opportunities, technical and legal developments to improve overall eMarketing competency among the team
- Create awareness of digital marketing and use of online as a business channel, as well as articulate the benefits of an optimized user experience to all levels of the organization
- Ensure compliance with terms of use/privacy policy, CAN SPAM and other permission-marketing email practices including management of corporate opt-out lists
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum three (3) digital marketing experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience leading a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other relevant master's degree
- Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
- Ability to present ideas to various levels of an organization to explain and gain support for initiatives
- Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record staying on budget and on schedule
- Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
- Proven experience working with industry tools including email, social, 3M.Com web development, marketing automation, eLearning, extranets
- Marketing automation experience; Eloqua or Pardot preferred
- Customer journey mapping and marketing system utilization experience
