3M is seeking an Associate Brand Manager for the Command™ brand as part of the Mounting & Fastening portfolio in the Construction & Home Improvements Markets Division located in London, ON. Ready to be part of what's next?
Command™ is a very dynamic and exciting brand. This role will include responsibility for the growth and development of this critical brand in the Canadian marketplace. As a leader in damage-free hanging, Command™ is inspiring consumers across Canada to decorate, organize and personalize their spaces in new ways.
Examples of key role objectives
- Actively manage day-to-day marketing operations for assigned product/brand portfolios.
- Work closely with Strategic Brand Manager to execute Brand/Marketing Strategy, communication plans and market research.
- Liaise with Digital Marketing manager to develop social media & digital programs to engage and inspire consumers.
- Work closely with Sales & Trade teams to deliver brand growth programs and plan promotional calendars.
- Actively participate in customer meetings, product/line reviews, presentations and events.
- Responsible for working with supply chain/materials management for demand planning/forecasting.
- Contribute to pre-launch innovation planning and commercialization excellence.
- Work closely for alignment with US and Global counterparts.
- Conduct product portfolio analysis and assess mix management gaps and opportunities.
- Analyze & and set internal, competitive and market pricing for core product lines.
- Understand factory cost, gross margin and components for the purpose of improvement planning and analysis
- Manage product packaging process, including new packaging development and updates
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- College Diploma or University Degree (business focus with marketing specialty preferred).
- Minimum two (2) years previous consumer marketing or trade marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Retail channel experience and knowledge would be an asset.
- Solid financial aptitude and P&L experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong time management and Organization skills.
- Computer proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are required.
- Candidates must have strong self-motivation and time management ability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as there is a significant educational component to the role.
- The individual requires a strong customer focus and consultative skills with a proven ability to develop solutions that address customer needs
