3M is seeking a Digital Lab Technician for the Health Care Business Group located in Albuquerque, NM. Ready to be part of what's next?
Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Digital Lab Technician will possesses skills and knowledge to evaluate quality aspects of various digital products manufactured in the digital laboratory. Evaluates and ensures product adherence to established quality and manufacturing standards and requirements for digital products. Utilizes advanced 3-D digital file manipulation software and associated manufacturing databases to evaluate product quality and record applicable data in the manufacturing database prior to distributing digital products to customers. Seeks supervisor assistance and direction when dealing with specific cases which require complex analysis or technical solutions. Identifies and reports quality defects, including physical material and digital files non-conformances, to the applicable quality supervisors and management.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs quality assessments on digital products manufactured in the Digital Laboratory
- Identifies non-conformances and material deficiencies and reports all instances to management via online database systems. Identifies non-conformances and makes corrective action recommendations on specific product orders
- Records quality data into the manufacturing Device History Record
- Performs manipulation of computer files using advanced computing software to create digital products; performs complex tasks requiring firm grasp of basic 3-D processing requirements including the ability to manipulate files via 3-D joystick
- Follows all department and corporate procedures regarding safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory, etc
- May be required to assist in basic training of co-workers on an as-needed basis
- Extensive knowledge of computer systems and the associated software applications is required to perform job functions
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position as described in the Functional Job Analysis
- Performs miscellaneous duties as required by supervision
This position may require:
- Working overtime
- Working weekends
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of digital manufacturing experience
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Digital Clean-up Technician
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the overall manufacturing process for digital models
- Proficiency in using Geomagic 3D Software
- Basic knowledge or higher of dental anatomy
Location: Albuquerque, NM
