Job Summary:
As a Communications Specialist, you will develop social media content, advance engagement strategies and tactics, and measure quantitative/qualitative results of published content. This role will also help identify and architect the interactive experience of the newsroom. You will be responsible for the development of all aspects of story template architecture and segmentation communication strategies. This role coordinates with the internal editorial newsroom team, storyteller and multimedia communication specialists, external media team, global counterparts and legal to support the Company’s Vision and will collaborate across the company and with the eTransformation team, to ensure efforts are fully integrated with other web development efforts across the company’s portfolio.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Create UX concepts, including visuals and behaviors with paper sketches, wireframes, task/workflows, simple working prototypes, or whatever form best communicates your ideas
- Concept the visual experience to ensure clean IT and CMS configuration implementation
- Collaborate with newsroom, IT, and eTransformation teams to optimize workflow and content development processes
- Ensure the Corporate Communications social media strategy is brought to life to increase 3M’s global share of voice and online sentiment via effective digital storytelling
- Engage with internal and external resources, including brand teams, writers, and storytellers
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum of one (1) year UX production experience
- Minimum of one (1) year social media or email community engagement experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CS6
- Demonstrated experience in ESP platforms (MailChimp, Epsilon, ExactTarget, etc.)
- Familiarity with content management systems and processes
- Familiarity with social listening tools (Sysomos, Radian6, Spreadfast, Evolve24, etc)
- Familiarity with interactive analytics systems (Webtrends, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, etc.)
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
